St. John, St. Charles property owners can view tax bill, file appeal

Property owners in St. Charles Parish can view their tax assessments at the assessor's office starting today as part of the state mandated tax roll inspection and correction process.
In neighboring St. John the Baptist Parish, the process started Oct. 3 and continues through Oct. 16. Deadline to file an assessment appeal is Oct. 17.
Residents in St. Charles Parish who dispute the amount of taxes owed have until Oct. 30 to file an appeal to the Parish Council, which acts as the Board of Review.
The St. Charles Parish assessor's office is located on the first floor of the parish courthouse in Hahnville, 15045 River Road.
The St. John assessor's office is located in Room 103 at the Percy Hebert government building, 1801 West Airline Highway, LaPlace.
