Want to get a head start on holiday shopping, but not up to battling the Black Friday crowds?
Merchants across New Orleans will be opening their doors for Small Business Saturday (Nov. 26), part of the annual initiative to encourage shoppers to support local retailers.
American Express started promoting the shopping holiday in 2010 as a way to counter the big box hype on Black Friday. Stay Local, a New Orleans independent business alliance, is among area organizations sponsoring events.
