The biggest part to remember is to ensure that the younger readers ensure that their parents and even grandparents are aware of these scams. There are members in the older generation who would rather deal with an issue, sooner rather than later, and could end up costing them thousands. Sharp County’s Mike Orosz, a constable and owner of Turkey Pen Shooting Range, has received five calls from the “IRS” in the last two days. The number is from Virginia, and it’s warning Orosz that there is a warrant out for his arrest if he doesn’t send money. His biggest piece of advice is that any government entity, including the IRS, will not call you, they will “write to you by mail, or maybe even visit you, but they will never call you.” Category: General Business |
