Oct. 12 New Orleans election voter guide: everything to know about what's on the ballot, more

The Oct. 12 primaries in the New Orleans area are chock-full of candidate races, constitutional amendments and local propositions. Early voting begins Saturday, Sept. 28 and ends Oct. 5. Early ballots can be cast from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day except Sunday. Runoff elections, if necessary, will be held Nov. 16.
