Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holidays

Hey everyone. As we get ready for hurricane season again (starts June 1st), note that Louisiana and Florida are having sales tax holidays for certain storm supplies.
Things like batteries, propane and gasoline tanks, tarps, ratchet and bungee tie-downs, ground anchors, cell phone batteries/chargers, portable generators, portable regular and 2-way radios, window shutters, etc will be exempt from the 4% state sales tax during the sales tax holiday. A few parishes may also participate in the tax holiday, but don't count on it.

Louisiana (May 24 - May 25)
